PĀNUI - NEWS UPDATE | 07.10.2020

Tēnā koutou katoa. Warm greetings to all our patients.

Following the recent announcement made by the Prime Minister about Aotearoa moving to Alert Level 1 on Wednesday 7th October at 11.59pm, we anticipate that more patients will want to visit our clinic for regular health checks and updates. As your health and wellbeing is priority for us as well as that of our staff, Ōrākei Health will continue to operate as we have been across all Covid-19 Alert Levels.

What does this mean?
  • All consults will continue to be delivered primarily by phone. Where the GP requires an in-person assessment, they will book this with the patient directly over the phone.

  • All Walk-ins will be triaged by our Nursing team. If you need to see a GP – please contact Reception before you come into clinic. If you present with any of the symptoms below, you will be asked to return straight to your car to contact Reception and be advised of the next steps to take.

  • It is important to contact Reception if you have any cold/flu-like symptoms before you come into the clinic. These include any of the following: fever, cough, a sore throat, shortness of breath, head cold and loss of sense of smell.

We want to reassure all our patients, that your health and wellbeing is always top of mind for our Clinical staff. We are here to ensure your health needs are met as best and as fast as possible while we balance the need to be vigilant and cautious in these unprecedented times.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our friendly team on 09 578 0956 or email: receptionohs@orakeihealth.org.nz

NOTICE TO PATIENTS

Tēnā koutou katoa. Warm greetings to all our patients.

Ōrākei Health is playing our part in keeping everyone safe and slowing the spread of Covid-19.  We must remain vigilant until a vaccine is available. Important preventative actions such as staying home when one is sick, good hand hygiene and coughing or sneezing into your elbow are some easy ways for you and your whānau (family) to stay safe.

To ensure safety for all on the clinic premises during all Covid-19 Alert Levels (Auckland moves in Alert Level 3 from noon today until further notice from the NZ Government ), we require patients (existing and new) to contact our friendly reception on 09 578 0956 as your first point of contact and before visiting the clinic for any reason.

From there you will be contacted by one of our Doctors for treatment and care. If the Doctor requires you to come into the clinic for an assessment, they will book this appointment directly with you while they have you on the phone. Only one consult fee will be charged if the Doctor triages you on the phone and then has you come in to the clinic for assessment.

All patients who visit the clinic will be asked questions regarding Covid-19 symptoms by our friendly reception staff. It is critical that you answer honestly about any flu-like or respiratory symptoms (cough, fever, sore throat, shortness of breath). This will help to ensure the correct precautions are taken to keep you and our clinic staff safe.

If you have any concerns or need further assistance with any of the above details, please do not hesitate to give us a call at the clinic so we can answer your question.

We appreciate your cooperation, support and understanding during this time.

Ngā manaakitanga,
